Dairy Farmhands assist farmers with feeding and raising livestock.

Farmhands may perform the following tasks:

•Feeding livestock and poultry

•Preparing milking machinery and assisting with milking operations

•Cleaning and sterilising farm equipment

•Clearing away animal waste and hosing out holding areas

•Performing other tasks involved with the breeding and raising of livestock, such as branding, crutching, gelding, marking and assisting with artificial insemination

•Riding horses or motorbikes to muster sheep or cattle
