Position Description
We have an exciting opportunity for those looking to start their Landscaping Apprenticeship!
We are on the lookout for motivated, committed and reliable talent - People who are wanting to gain practical on the job experience, whilst receiving extensive training (and a certificate III) in Landscape Construction.
About the client
Our client has been operating out of Melbourne's South Eastern Suburbs for over 10 years, focusing on residential estate landscape and construction. Their previous works consist of community spaces, parks and childcare centres, with a continued focus on providing high quality works.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Commercial landscaping and maintenance
- Residential landscaping and maintenance
- Turf preparation, concrete and paving preparation
- Retaining walls and paving
- Mowing, spraying, slashing, trimming, fertilising & watering
- Hydro-seeding
- Planting
- Irrigation
- Digging
- Reading Drawings
- Moving Materials
Required attributes/skills/experience:
- Must have a driver's licence and own transport
- Ability to undertake manual/physical work
- Strong interest in Plants
- Eye for Detail
- Desire to learn all things landscaping
- Punctual, reliable and energetic
- Certificate II in Horticulture or Cert II in Building and Construction (highly regarded!)
- Previous experience working in a team
- Strong work etiquette.
