About the Company
We are currently seeking a 2nd or 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice to work for our client, a family owned & operated business, with over 50 year's experience in the event, exhibition and production industry. They provide temporary infrastructure and technical expertise to some of Australia's leading event organisers, promoters, festivals and broadcast events nationally.
About the Role
Working as part of their event services team, you will be required to work at a variety of venues and site locations, based predominately around the Melbourne CBD vicinity, along with providing ongoing general maintenance and event preparation at their warehouse located in Thomastown.
You will be working as part of the team delivering temporary power, lighting and rigging installations at a variety of trade & consumer exhibitions, events and productions being delivered across multiple venues and sites located around Melbourne.
Tasks assigned to this role are predominately electrical, and can range from general maintenance and repairs, to installation and removal of hire equipment, along with general event labour.
- Temporary power installation
- Event lighting installation
- LED Screen installation
- General maintenance of lighting & electrical equipment
- Warehouse management of stock in conjunction with Head of Electrical
Due to the nature of exhibitions and events, the flexibility to work outside normal working hours is essential.
- An interest in event production, lighting
- Well-presented team player
- High level of attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Career & goal orientated
- Highly organised
- Drivers Licence and own transport
- White Card
- Certificate II in Electrotechnology (required)
