About Us:
Trent Allen Quality Carpentry has a commitment to training our apprentices well and exposing them to all aspects of fixing carpentry. We work on varied projects for multiple builders, both commercial and residential, so you will enjoy the full scope of the trade and, once qualified, your experience will mean you will be in high demand.
Our reputation for doing the job right and being easy to work with has allowed us to build long-standing relationships with builders, over our 15 years in the Perth building industry. This means we have had a steady stream of work, even when the industry is quiet.
About the Role:
We are on the lookout for a motivated, dedicated and reliable 4th Year Apprentice (we may consider an apprentice, close to the end of their 3rd year if you can hit the ground running).
From builder to builder, the work is endlessly varied! Youll work on luxury homes, transportable buildings, renovations and commercial builds, across the metro area.
Some of the diverse works you may be required to carry out (with supervision) include:
- Cutting and fixing skirting, architraves, shelving, eaves, bargeboards etc
- Scribing and mitring
- Hanging and adjusting doors, installing cavity sliders, window reveals etc
- Installing tracks and removable wall and door panels on commercial sites
- Installing fixtures and door furniture (including in luxury homes)
- Flushing structural joins and rectifying and touching up minor cracks and imperfections
Essential Requirements:
- Ability to undertake manual/physical work
- High attention to detail and accuracy, balanced by efficiency
- Aptitude for mathematics and measurement
- High work ethic
- A willingness to learn
- Ability to contribute to a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- You must hold a White Card
- Willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance (at our expense)
- Drivers Licence & Reliable Car
