Located in Maddington, our client is an engineering firm that specialises in the manufacture and application of abrasion resistant materials and protective coating systems for use in mining, refining and general industry.
With a site spanning over 8000m2 they are proud to have supplied for WA and international customers since 1968.
They now have a rare opportunity to support a 3rd Year or final year Fabrication/Sheetmetal apprentice through to completion.
Primarily you will be making steel cones and steel inserts from perforated sheet metal using rollers, hydrabend, guillotine and mig welding. There is also an opportunity to fabricate piping.
To be considered for this role you will:
Have a current WA manual driver's licence
Have a keen interest in the metal fabrication industry
Genuine interest in fabrication/welding and enjoy working with their hands
Completed the first two years of your fabrication/sheetmetal apprenticeship
Good communication skills
Be reliable and punctual
Able to work as part of a team
Strong work ethic
