Partnered with our client, we are searching for a second or third year Fitting and Turning apprentice looking to continue your trade. This will be an opportunity for you to continue working on your Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitter and Turner) with a national company and to join a professional team with training, guidance and opportunity. Youll be working Monday Friday from 7.30 am to 3.30 pm being trained by industry professionals.
On a day to day basis, your duties will involve:
All aspects of diagnosing, testing, servicing and repairing hydraulic components, including fault finding and repairing small hydraulic pumps and motors;
Strip/inspect and assemble hydraulic components;
Cylinder Maintenance (Stripping and Cleaning);
Machining and Fabrication;
Use of hand and power tools; and
Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
There will also be opportunities in the apprenticeship to get out on site visits.

Essential requirements to be considered for this role are:
Be a second or third year apprentice
Hold a valid QLD drivers licence, preferably manual;
Have mechanical interests and competent solving problems autonomously; and
Be able to carry out all service orders in line with work instructions whilst taking responsibility for theirs and others safety.
