Position Description

Our client Swan Group is a leading West Australian commercial construction company with a difference, who has been operating for over 19 years.
They are currently in need of an energetic Accounts Assistant to join this fast-moving business. The successful Swan in the making (calm exterior with fast moving feet) is a person that is eager to learn and develop and want to take on more responsibility over time.

The ideal candidate loves numbers, processes and have a high attention to detail. Attitude and willingness to learn is everything to the team. Swan Group will provide the opportunity to learn on the job while you are studying towards a Cert III in Business Admin.

Duties and responsibilities:
Data entry timesheets and supplier invoices.
Statement reconciliation.
Review incoming accounts email enquiries and direct them to the appropriate people.
Purchasing support.
Prepare new supplier set ups.
Ensure insurance and other supplier details are up to date and followed up on.
Document control.
Answer and redirect incoming calls and be the first point of contact for visitors.
Back up to Admin Assistant in providing administrative support to a range of people across the business.

Personal Attributes and Skills:
Professional telephone manner.
Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
High attention to detail and highly organised.
Ability to adapt to frequently changing work commitments.
Flexible can-do attitude.
Aspires to work autonomously and is empowered by job ownership.
Ability to work as part of a team and to maintain a high level of efficiency in a busy and demanding environment.

Qualifications & Experience:
Preferably completed a Cert II in Business.
High score in maths from Year 12. Proof will be required.
Willingness to learn.
Ability communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
