Our client, is a local family-owned and run security locksmith business whose goal is simple to keep local families and companies safe! They are currently seeking a 1st Year Locksmith Apprentice to complete the qualification.
Based at Holland Park, we are seeking a reliable and security checked person looking to gain practical on-the-job experience while gaining their Certificate III in Locksmithing.
You must have:
- A current manual Driver's License;
- Year 12 Certificate
- Pass Federal Police Check
- 2 References contactable by phone
- Flexibility in working hours as hours can be irregular and some will be 'emergency call outs' after hours.
- Customer service focus
- A great communication style
- Completed a Pre-Voc course (Cert II in Engineering MEM20105) an advantage but no essential
Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday 38 to 40 hour week. There will be an After hours on-call fortnight roster, but not for the first year or 2
This apprenticeship provides skills in the repair, manufacture and installation of locking and security systems. Areas of work activity would include domestic, automotive and industrial applications. Apprentices will gain skills and knowledge in door and window hardware, fire and security containers, design of a master key system, automotive locking systems and door control devices.
