A qualification as an Aquatic Industry Worker will provide the skills and knowledge needed to feel confident and safe in working in water as well as taking responsibility of the safety of clients and patrons in an aquatic environment, like a pool.

Duties performed by an Aquatic Industry Worker trainee may include:

• Adhering to safety requirements and procedures related to working in and around water
• Determining risky behaviour and intervening before problems arise
• Training customers in correct swimming techniques and water rescue procedures
• Performing water based rescue in the case of emergency
