Arts administrators manage artistic and cultural venues such as theatres and art galleries.

Arts administrators may be responsible for the following tasks:

• Seeking sponsorship and funding from federal, state, territory and local governments and community and industry organisations
• Preparing and submitting funding applications
• Negotiating with artists and performers regarding contracts
• Coordinating arts programs
• Organising and promoting exhibitions and events
• Helping to develop and implement the organisation’s strategic plans and marketing strategies
• Providing education services to the public
