Duties performed by a Stonemason apprentice may include:

• Using machinery and hand tools to cut and shape stones for use
• Polishing granite for use in kitchen benches and bathroom vanities
• Designing and creating monuments and memorial tablets out of stone
• Constructing walls using large stone slabs
