A qualification in Community Recreation and Activities provides the knowledge and skills needed to perform, instruct and participate in a variety of social activities.

Duties performed by a Community Recreation and Activities trainee may include:

• Planning and coordinating local activities in a variety of different areas including sporting, community and holiday functions
• Promoting activities to the public and participants
• Arranging venues and meeting times
• Communicating with parents, schools, church leaders, social workers to create appropriate activities and meetings
• Training other workers in the correct implementation of activities
