Disability Workers provide training and support to people with a disability to enhance their abilities to achieve greater independence and community participation.  Disability Workers are expected to work with health professionals, other service agencies and families to assess a client’s interests and needs and plan and develop programs to fulfil those needs.  People with a Disability qualification can be employed in residential group homes, training resource centres, day respite centres, and other community settings.
