A qualification in Event Operations will provide the skills and knowledge needed to undertake the administrative or operational duties of Events Management. Event operations may involve working within community, cultural, hospitality, sporting and tourism environments.

Duties undertaken by an Event Operations Manager may include:

• Talking events through with clients and offering suggestions on how the clients goals can be achieved

• Negotiating the costs of services to be provided and maintaining the budget of the event

• Organising the event venue and decorating the venue appropriately and insuring seating is correctly set up

• Consulting with service providers, such as entertainers and catering

• Finding solutions to problems that may arise over the course of the event.

• Collecting and analysing data on events and report on the outcomes
