A qualification in Cleaning Operations and Pest Management will provide the skills and knowledge needed to perform cleaning task in a commercial environment, including the removal of pest animals and insects.

Duties performed by a Cleaning Operations and Pest Management trainee may include:

Using the correct cleaning chemicals and agents in accordance with safety requirements

• Washing surfaces to remove stains, dirt and mold
• Buffing appropriate surfaces
• Cleaning glass surfaces
• Creating pest management programs and implementing them
• Safely storing insecticides and poison in accordance to safety regulations
• Disposing of pest in a hygienic and appropriate manner
