Trainees doing a Food Processing qualification will be expected to develop the skills involved in operating machinery and systems used in the processing and packaging of food and beverage products.

Duties performed by a Food Processing Worker Include:

• Inspecting food and beverage products on Conveyors and sort by predetermined guidelines involving quality of product

• Packing products for transport

• Maintaining temperature of food and beverage products using commercial refrigerators

• Operating machinery used to package product.

• Insuring the hygiene and cleanliness of work areas
