Forest Product Workers assist in the milling, processing and merchandising of timber and timber products. They may perform the following tasks:

•Operating saws and machinery to convert logs to usable timber

•Stacking and packing timber and preparing it for despatch

•Operating forklifts

•assisting in the production of various timber products, often with the use of computerised equipment

•Assembling fabricated products such as timber frames and trusses
