A traineeship is the time spent learning a job (or vocation) under a supervisor. A traineeship generally relates to industries that don’t need a trade certificate (like apprenticeships do).
While undertaking a traineeship you get paid while you learn on the job and gaining your qualification. A traineeship qualification can range from Certificate Level II to Diploma.
There are hundreds of traineeship qualifications to choose from including business, construction, retail, arts and media, community services, hospitality, beauty, animal care – and many more.
You can start a traineeship while still at school, once you have left school, or as a mature age person wanting to upskill or change careers.
