A qualification as an Injection Moulding Operator provides skill and knowledge related to producing plastic products by injecting moulds with material using specialised equipment. The products produced include a wide variety of products including jars, wheelie bins, chairs, TV cabinets, and a wide range of industrial parts such as electrical housing.
Duties performed by an Injection Moulding operator may include:
Loading raw materials into machinery
Operating injection moulding machinery, adhering to safety requirements
Performing quality control on products
Removing wrinkles and trapped air that can be found in rolled up products
