Mentoring for Employees

There will be times during your training when you’ll need advice or guidance, and mentoring services are a great resource to tap into for help.

Our mentoring services can give you advice about;

  • managing money and budgets
  • dealing with workplace issues
  • workplace communication
  • understanding payslips, superannuation
  • holiday and sick leave entitlements
  • understanding your work rights and obligations
  • understanding workplace policies and procedures
  • work life balance
  • confidence, motivation and resilience
  • dealing with a crisis
  • or anything else you can think of.

Mentoring services are free for apprentices and trainees to access with 24 hours online support.

ISSMA

There are certain industries that will undergo structural changes more regularly than others and so the Australian Government has created a specialist mentoring program to help apprentices and trainees, as well as employers navigate through these changes.

The Industry Specialist Mentoring for Australian Apprentices program (ISMAA) links up apprentices or trainees with an industry specialised mentor in eight constantly evolving industries to help them upskill in the first two years of training.

Disability Employment Services
