Operating Theatre Assistant’s are expected to work within a team environment to provide services to patients in a healthcare setting.

Duties performed by a Operating Theatre Assistant include:

• Gaining knowledge of operating theatre staff’s roles and responsibility
• Performing duties within the operating theatre environment while adhering to the rules of Workplace Health and Safety and Infection Control
• Using equipment while adhering to safety procedures
• Setting up the operating theatre to desired standards
• Transporting patients and clients in a safe and appropriate manner.
