A qualification as a Polyurethane Product Manufacturer provides the skills and knowledge needed in the creation of polyurethane  products, such as armchairs for office furniture, masks, figurines, and individual special effects. A variety of plastics and techniques are used within this process.

Duties performed by a Polyurethane Product Manufacturer apprentice may include:

• Operating machinery related to the polyurethane creation process
• Using trimming and finishing tools to shape product to predetermined specifications
• Maintaining machinery and equipment
• Diagnosing any faults within machinery and performing repairs
