A qualification as a Plastics Fabricator will provide the skills and knowledge needed to work with acrylic, polycarbonate and other forms of sheet plastic, and make a range of plastic based products which can include display stands, fume cupboards and signs.

Duties performed by a Plastics Fabricator apprentice may include:

• Cutting plastics to specified measurements using a variety of tools which may include knives, cutters, shears, saws or routers
• Mixing ingredients according to predetermined formulas
• Operating machinery related to the creation and shaping of plastic materials
