Automotive Salespersons sell goods and services to industry, business and professional establishments, and to wholesale or retail outlets. It involves administration duties as well as maintaining stock control. Duties include:

• Maintaining storage and stocktake practices
• Handling heavy materials
• Providing customers with advice on parts
• Organising the distribution of stock and receiving and filling sales requests
• Identifying auto parts/components using catalogues and computer databases.

Parts Interpreters may provide parts for cars, trucks, vans, motor cycles, trailers and agricultural, industrial and marine equipment or they may specialise in one particular area or make of vehicle.
