A qualification in Sport and Outdoor Recreation will provide the skills and knowledge needed to maintain sporting grounds and perform administrative tasks for a sporting club or field.

Duties performed by Sport and Outdoor Recreation trainee may include:

• Planning and organising sporting and social events
• Performing administrative tasks such as developing budgets, organising calender, creating bookings and securing funding
• Maintaining clean fields and surfaces for sporting activities
• Developing sports and activity programs to serve customer’s needs
